Hope this finds you well and in good Islamic spirits.
This is to share our deep concern with you over the growing impression in Arab and Muslim world that Islam’s internal differences are more important than its problems with the aggressors occupying Arab land from Iraq to Golan in Syria, Sheba Farms in Lebanon and West Bank-Ghaza in Palestine.
We are aware of the history of European colonial dominance over Muslim lands through much of the 19th and the 20th century. The " divide-and-rule" to achieve their goal. What we have been witnessing in Afghanistan, Iraq (and of late Somalia) shows that we are entering into a new colonial age once again.
It is at this moment that the Muslim world looks at you with hope to ward off this trouble being created by enemies to divide the Ummah. As the custodian of the Haramain Sharifain it is a great responsibility on your shoulders to keep the Ummah united through mutual understanding, and renewed efforts to promote unity.
You rule the land where Allah’s grace united warring tribes with the advent of Islam, which came to supersede everything else. Now that the Muslim world is being targetted for further division by Zionist and US Christian Right on sectarian lines, we rightfully expect a great sagacity from you to frustrate these designs.
Over the last few months the Western media has been busy drumming up the difference between the Shia and Sunni sects and creating the impression that the actual war is being waged within Islam rather than with occupation forces in Iraq and Palestine. It is the duty of all Muslims (and a greater duty of the ruling classes) to frustrate the designs of the enemies of Islam.
With this we hope that you will do the needful in the interest of Islamic unity in the face of divisive designs of aggressors.
