Special Programmes
IOS has adopted diverse types of programmes to further its objects. The special programmes of the IOS include seminars, workshops, symposia, lectures, orientation programme, discussions, Sham-e-Muzakarah (an evening for deliberations), etc. These programmes have proved efficacious in raising so far neglected issues as well as formulation of appropriate responses to some burning issues being faced by the country in general and Muslims in particular.
The contribution of IOS in the field of Social Sciences, Humanities and affairs of Ummah has been recognised internationally. Some of the very prestigious institutions of the world have associated and collaborated with the IOS. The IOS has collaborated with International Institute of Islamic Thought (USA), International Islamic University (Malaysia), Islamic Research & Training Institute (Islamic Development Bank), Jeddah (KSA), Kuwait Awqaf Public Foundation, (Kuwait) to name a few. Besides, the IOS has participated in various programmes organised by international bodies.
The IOS has organised 113 seminars, symposia, workshops, training programmes till March 2000. Besides, more than 450 Sham-e-muzakarah, lectures, etc. have also been organised.
