Besides, it has provided permanent relief by constructing/repairing of houses and hutments, distributing home kits, sewing machines etc. It has also provided school fees, note-books, uniforms and school bags for affected students. The total expenditure incurred on the above activities amounted to Rs. 8.13 Million.

APPEAL

Proposed Projects for riot affected people in Gujarat

1.Free education for orphans/riot affected children.

The riots disrupted the schooling of a large number of Muslim children. Some of them also lost their parents or earning member of the family. We plan to arrange for their education by keeping them in a boarding school. Initially, we will make provision for 50 students.

2.Purchase of 20,000 Sqr. Yrds land for the rehabilitation of those victims who now can’t go back to their old homes.

A large number of people are not at all willing to go back to their homes in sensitive areas. For such persons we plan to establish a colony in a suburban area. We plan to allot small plots of land for building homes.

All donations to the Trust are exempted from Income Tax under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act and it has also permanent registration under FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act) facilities.
